Massaging hands and nails is a very important step in keeping them healthy looking and nimble. Hands and nails are one of the bodies farthest points from the heart the other is the feet and toes. It is important to keep blood circulating well in these outer extremities of the body. Good circulation to these areas will help keep stiffness at bay and help stimulate the nails grow.
Massaging hands/feet and nails will help keep a healthy blood flow to these areas and stimulate nails to grow. You can use a hand creme when you massage or not. The added benefit to using a hand creme is that at the same time you are massaging the skin and nails benefit from the conditioners in the creme to keep skin and nails from drying out flaking and peeling.
You can do a simple technique buy starting with your plams and rubbing your thumbs into the plams of your hands in a circular motion, working your way in between each knuckle and up to each finger. When you get to your nail massage the nails and cuticle areas in a circular motion for a minute for each nail. Here is a link to a more indepth massage for various parts of the body. The hand section is toward the bottom of the page.
