Picking Your Best Colors for Cosmetics
the secret is in understanding your skin's undertone of color
How much money have you wasted on color cosmetics that look great in the store but once you get them home, just don't seem to be right? How many times have you wondered if your foundation is the right match? Is it enhancing your features or is it making you look older? These are all very common problems.
The solution does not have to be complicated. The key is to take a little time to look at your skin, and figure out what undertones it has. Once you have established your skin's undertones, picking color cosmetics will never be a hit or miss risk ever again.
We have developed a system called GloTones. It sorts skin tones into 4 basic categories DiamondTones, SaphireTones, TopazTones and Opal tones. DiamondTones, and SaphireTones fall into a Cool color range with blue, green and rose undertones. TopazTones and Opal tones fall into a warm color range with yellow, golden or orange undertones.
Where your skin falls within the above four categories will guide you throughout your life in selecting colors that will be the most flattering for your look. Everything from the best hair color for you, to eyeshadow, lip color and foundations will ether fall into a cool base color or a warm based color. Once you have determine what your skin's undertone is you should never cross mix the colors. I mean you can but they will not create your most flattering look.
